Who is Alexander Tran?
Alex has spent more than 10 years shipping AI and data products, and the advisory work grew out of that record rather than preceding it. He started in consulting, delivering data, AI and strategy engagements at Accenture Australia for 5 years across Fortune 500 companies, Australian national organisations and government agencies.
He then continued his career into product. As Head of Product and Technology at Amplified Intelligence, an Australian attention-measurement company, he ran a cross-functional team of more than 15 engineers, product managers and data scientists building machine-learning products used by the world's largest brands, agencies and publishers. That role took 4 products from discovery to launch, grew annual recurring revenue by over $1.1 million, and managed more than 20 enterprise deals across 4 markets with companies including Amazon, Netflix, Meta and The Trade Desk.
Most recently, he built the AI practice at Think and Grow, an Australian advisory firm, where he delivered client engagements end to end: AI strategies, readiness roadmaps, capability programmes, and the hiring bar for the practice itself. Veriet carries that work forward under one name, accountable to one principal.
Why should a board listen to him?
Because the advice is priced against work he has done himself. He has built the class of product that vendors pitch, run the teams that ship it, and closed the enterprise deals that fund it, so when a claim lands at the board table, he can test it at the level of the data, the model and the contract rather than the brochure. Advisers who have never shipped tend to recommend more building than the business needs, because building is the part they have not paid for.
What is Veriet?
Veriet is an AI advisory firm for executive teams and boards, and the practice runs on three services: AI strategy advisory, AI governance and policy, and AI fluency training, with an AI readiness assessment opening the advisory mandate. We work with organisations of roughly 100 to 1,000 people where a board is in place and the CEO is in the room.
The firm builds nothing, which is the point. An adviser who also sells delivery earns from concluding that something should be delivered, so Veriet holds advisory mandates only: we recommend across vendors, and when a build follows we help you buy it well.
Education and certifications
Alex holds a Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering and a Bachelor of Commerce in finance from The University of Queensland. He is an AWS Certified AI Practitioner and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, and holds Microsoft's Azure Fundamentals certification.
